and check out their "20 Songs for $20" for an idea of what we might do to raise some money. It's easy-peasy to do, since it doesn't involve burning any discs and therefore seems to me as though it ought to be a cheap way to get our songs out there.
You send them $$ and then they give you directions for how to download their songs. I don't know the particulars of how to manage that, but it seems pretty do-able.

Recording, cool, Documentary, also cool.
I think that we should continue to record and document the entire history of this effort. WWWD is conceivably a subject of interest to the wider publuc. We should be documenting it. It's a great subject for a documentary. It could play on Link TV or Free Speech TV or PBS, or at the very least YouTube. We already have some footage and audio and stills. All of this should continue to be archived. Surely there is someone out there who would find this project worthy of creating a documentary of what we are doing and surely the world would be interested to see that there are artists and activists organizing and working together to raise awareness and promote change for progressive causes. Anybody know someone who is interested in photo journalism or documentaries or audio recording and who would share our progressive goals?

great idea. I would see it as more to spread the word than to raise money, though we should try to cover our costs.
I am not sure about the source of the recordings. A lot of us have good quality recordings which we can make available, of course. Others do not. I don't think the live recordings, so far, are of sufficiently high quality to show ourselves well. I am hoping the March show turned out better. We don't want our low fidelity to drown out our message. We might do an informal poll of who has what and is willing to release rights. If we end up with some recording gaps, I have a decent home studio which I can make available.
If we want to make just singles downloadable, that is easy to do with snocap. I have that on my myspace page now. For WWWD I think we really need to market the group more than the individuals. I am sure it would not be hard to figure out how to do the album concept, however.
